Hummingbird "glitching" makes me crazy and poor !!!!
Hummingbird EP elite series
Standard motor
Century receicer mixer and BEC
Problem: Gliching on upspooling at about 600 rpm
I changed and tried different receivers at no sucses, as we name them:
- Standard Century micro receiver PPM
- Standard Zoom Protec receiver PPM
- Robbe Futaba micro receiver RX800 PPM
- Robbe Futaba receiver R147F PPM
- Ikarus Picobord plus PPM all on 35.180 Mhz.
The only thing that is not changed is the stock motor. Cristal new and changed.
The heli is like dancing and turning arrount at 500-700 rpm. It is like a vibration on the swash and the tailrotor.
Als these remains to have the same gliching between 500 and 700 RPM.
And all tested with the antenne in front of the bird at 1 cm above the ground; receiver at least at 6 cm from the motor at an extension with no canopy.
If a put the heli on the the bord of the table, with the antenne free vertical downwards, then there is no glitching.
Difficult tu mount and to fly and land withe the antenna downwards.
My conclusion is that the motor, who is standard should be very bad. How do others see that. I wait for a good advice on a new motor. Can PCM be a sollution or do i have to upgrade to brussless, or both??. I feel sorry for a smal price for the heli an you are obliged to invest a fortune on upgrade and modifications.

Make sure yuo rec antenna is not coiled up. A friend of mine has a twister and was getting glitching because he ran his antenna down the tail boom. After he let it hang down it was ok. Also check your motor, it should have some capacitors soldered between the terminals and the motor body. These are to reduce noise interferance.

Hi Joren,
I'm fairly new to world of Heli's but here's some advice that's true anytime when fault finding.
Most logic approach is to split system 50/50 find what half is wrong then split that bit 50/50 etc.
Prob is in real world this is not always poss.
So start with CHEAPEST most likely parts - like tail motor ect!
Happy flying!
