okay this is driving me nuts, i hev now stripped out the servo saver for the
savage ss twice in four tanks of gas. have any of you had this problem?
the servo i have isnt an extreme servo either, 133 OZ at 6.0 volts.
what have you guys done to get away from this problem?
any suggestions welcome . . .

RE: need help with steering servo
It isa not the gears he stripped, it is the servo saver that is giving out.... You need to do the OFNA MP Servo saver Mod, it works great. [link=http://www.savage-central.com/ftopic2361.html]Savage-Central OFNA MP Servo Saver mod[/link]

RE: need help with steering servo
the problems isnt with the servo itself, it is a metal gear servo.
the plastic servo saver that comes with the SS keeps stripping out.
do they make an aluminum servo arm for the savage?

RE: need help with steering servo
I sympathize.... stripped (middle gear) of Savage stock steering servo too (HPI SF 2)... Replaced it with a Thunder Tiger S-188 new servo I had laying around... It didn't hold up 1 day of bashing... stripped it too... Finally gave up and installed HPI SF-3 metal gear servo... night & day difference!!
By the way I had my doubts about the servo saver... tesed it... and worked well.
Just my 2 cents...
