Default Canopy mistake

Good morning i'm an italian modeler ...i had buy a balsacraft kit of a little focke wulf .....i had paint all my model but i had make a big mistake with the canopy ..the matt clear cote to protect the paint from the fuel ....i don' masquerade the canopy from it...now my beautiful pilot is blind!Is possible to make something to remake my canopy clear? Thank you for your patience and excuse me for my english

Default Canopy mistake

You can polish it with automotive scratch remover, or plastic scratch remover. It takes about 5 or 6 applications and a lot of rubbing!

Thank you very much for your help.....about a new canopy i have tried but seems that can't be supplied like a optional parts....thank you very much.....

Default Canopy mistake

Alot of times you can get stuff like canopies from other manufacturers that will fit your planes. If the planes are the same scale. Depending on the size of your plane, check into TopFlite, or GreatPlanes, as they have several sizes of planes on the market. Or possibly other companies....you might not necessarily need the origianal. Hope this helps....

Default Canopy mistake

You can start with 600 grit wet dry sandpaper wet, entirely then switch to 1000, then 1500, then finish with 2500 all wet sanded. Then apply a gloss clear coat and you will have a nice clear canopy.

Thank you very much..... i try with sandpaper...if ...you don't know little balsacraft kit you can wiew this airplane at http://www.bestrc.com/balsacraft/index.html .....are very nice for electric and engine ......
