Default Raptor Bipe Foamy

Hey Chip,

I just started flying my Raptor Bipe. Where should the CG be set? I obviously have something wrong because it flies very strange. I started with CG at about 3.5" behind the LE measured at the wing root (recommended by other RCU posters). Also have battery mounted inline with motor thrust line. Tucks real hard on Knife Edge, won't point roll, can't KE loop. Did you measure where CG ended up on yours? I'd like to think it should fly at least as well as my shockflyer.

OK,

I shoved the battery pack all the way forward, touching the engine brace and inline with the thrustline. Really helped. CG is about 2.5" back from Leading edge. Can't get it any further forward without adding nose weight. Don't think it will need any more. Flies pretty good. Now I'll play with it and dial it in. Very encouraging so far and I am happy that the nasty tendencies went away. VERY sensitive to CG. Only things I want to fix now are aileron differential for more axial rolls (pulls opposite of the rolling direction in consecutive rolls) and roll coupling on left rudder (funny, right rudder is OK).
