Default Cap 232

I have a hangar 9 cap 232 .40. It has a O.S .70 and has futaba s3004's on it. I am terribly worried that the elevator servo wont have enough power for the elevator. What is everyones thoughts.

This plane works fine with standard servos in it. Just be sure you don't have any bind or slop in the pushrod and clevises and you'll be good to go. Remember this plane doesn't need a lot of travel since the elevator is very sensitive.

I have had 2 of these planes and one had the Futaba 3004 servo's and the other with Hitec 425BB and never had a problem as far as servo's go.
The elevator is very sensitive as previously mentioned.
I was out flying mine yesterday as a matter of fact, watch you airspeed on landing, get to slow and it will snap and tip stall into the ground.
I really love mine..its not a ho-hum boring flyer you have to really fly this plane.[sm=lol.gif]

Try running a 6 volt setup, that will increase the S3004 speed and holding power. Just get yourself a 6 volt receiver battery, and a regulator, and stop worrying.

The 3004's are more than enough torque for a 40 size plane

Thought I might join since my question's related. About to build my 40 size Kyosho Cap 232. The manual calls for a single standard servo on the elevator but I'm planning to put 2 mini servos (1 for each elev half) for ailvator function. The 2 minis is also 30% lighter than 1 standard servo (approx 3 minis = 1 std in weight). Would 2 Hitec HS81 MGs with 36 oz-in each work?
