Thats what I'm planning on getting sometime, and that seems to be the racers choice.

Panther is coming out with a tire that looks like bow-ties but they fit the revo wheels with no modification.

here's the current hot setup for revo wheels and tires. Another thing that is gaining popularity is taking 40 series mombo wheels, trimming off the outermost edge of the inside of the wheel and mounting the tires between the inside bead groove and the inner stiffing rib. This maintains the overall width of the 40 series wheels while reducing the footprint for faster turning.

traxxas is coming out with the response tire, it fits the revo 3.8s, similar tread to the bowtie. Thermal and I both run the 40 series bow ties, he has velocity dish weeels, I have velocity 6 wheels that I dyed black. That does seem to be the racers choice if you want a good tires NOW. If you can wait, the panther seems nice and the response will eventually hit the market, they just keep pushing back the release date.

okay, I think I mostly need them for race on a track, but also a little bash.. what about Traxxas'es new sportraxx tires specially for the Revo and the stock wheels ? they look nice, and I have heart that they were great on the T-maxx

keep your stock for playin around, get some tires like the bow ties that you use ot the track....if you run your bowties on pavment I would imagine youll burn em up pretty qiuck and they aint to cheap so just have 2 sets, thats would be your best bet.... IMO

ive tried the hpi dirtbonz/proline velocity dish wheel combo and also the proline 40 series bowtie/velocity 6 combo on my 2.5 maxx. the forty series steers tighter but a little less turning radius. the 40 series arent as good for jumping as the standard bowties though. I've been told that TRINITY makes a foam insert that works great in those tires. its a 3 ply insert to stiffen the sidewall. think I may try those out and see how they work!
