There's plenty of room in the fuse for the canister.
I was going to go that route as i have a Ks 89 canister and header here but, utlimately went with the pitts muffler.
Reason I went with the pitts was that I already installed the engine in the 6:00 o'clock position and the KS header would have protruded through the side of the cowl by a fraction of an inch requiring a big ugly cut out in the cowl side.
I'm one of those guys who can't stand "spark plug" cut outs in the cowl sides. If u mounted the engine at 7:00 u would be ok.
