The aircraft international web site states to use 50-1. I broke mine in at 40-1. Use your own discretion. Mix rates are on the back of the can.

Amsoil makes 100-1 and 50-1 synthetic oils. I'm going to use 50-1 oil mixed at 50-1. Others mix the 100-1 oil at anywhere from 80 to 100-1 I've read. The oil manufacturer is the one that dictates what their oil is good for. You combine that recomendation with what your engine manufacturer recommends and decide for yourself where you want to go. I for one don't believe in pushing the envelope where oil is concerned. If you are good at tuning your engine and know for sure you won't ever run it lean then go for the leaner oil mix of 100-1 but if you're not sure I would say stay with the 50-1 and leave some margin for error. That's just my opinion. Of course, you can still burn up an engine using 50-1. That's a given!

I'm there.............Finished up the damage on the hatch from the move.

Finished the Rudder linkages
Finished the Elevator linkages
Finsished rigging the lines for the Smoke tank and fuel tank
Finished the cowling stickers
Finished the fuse stickers
Finished mixing a 5 Gallon container for break--in
Finished my 2 Gal electric field fueler
Ranged checked good with out motor running at the field today

All that's left is to clean up the linkages on the wings (maybe 1/2 to 1 hr worth of work and range check with the engine running!

Supposed to be like 50 degrees and 20kts of wind tomorrow...........most likely won't get to maiden it.[>:][>:][>:][>:]

But she will be ready just in case!
