Mostly, indoor and outdoor are two separate helis. The best indoor helis are FP micros. But they are largely worthless outdoors on anything but the calmest of days. Bigger, outdoor helis have headspeeds that make indoor flying unadvisable.

I agree. The only one I've seen that do both is the Shogun. It's small enough for indoors but only if you have very big rooms. For indoor flying like a gym or hall the Shogun is great.

And NO WIFE!!! :-D

Actually, last night at thesportsdome.com, there were several shoguns, a hornet CP and 4 or 5 FP micros (and one bigger heli, did not catch the make). Best heli turnout I have seen there. We even had an area netted off to keep the Slow Sticks from crashing into us. (OK, it also protected everyone else from the higher head speed CP helis)
