in a nut shell:
too lean= running very hot, runs 5-10 min and dies, no smoke coming from exhaust at all- high pitch screem at WOT, will burn up an engine in no time.
too rich= running very cool , smokes a very dense visible trail when running, less power , sounds raspy at full throtle, don't think any long term damage will occur form too rich.
Post a message telling us whick model you have and which engine and maybe someone can get you the factory recomended needle settings, and or help you find you high speed needle if your not sure what it is to change the carb setings.
