MINI DRAGONFLY THROTTLE QUESTION
OK HELI GUYS:
I have a question on the throttle settings on electric helis. I have a dragonfly and it flies awesome, however is there a way to fine tune the throttle? What I mean by this is when I get it off the ground and hover it stays about 3 to 4 inches off the ground and if I give it just one more click on the throttle gimble it climbs way to high. This makes me constantly give it throttle corrections. I tried to use the trims but I dont see a differance. I have a T6XA transmitter the only thing I havent tried is to try the ATV settings. Will this work?

Try some exponential. Soften the throttle at around hover speed.
Not sure exactly if this will work as I am using my GWS transmitter with my DF.
The problem lies with the ratchet throttle stick. The movements are not going to be linear, they are going to be "notchy". EXPO might help.

What you will find in all "quality" heli radions is no ratchet at all. Just remove (bend if you like) the ratchet arm

no, you cant do that. i tried it the whole stick just flops around and its imposible to keep a steady throttle..trust me on this one.

AWESOME IDEA WITH THE FUEL TUBING. I did mine a little different I think, I just cut a piece about 1/2" long and slid it over the metal arm that rides on the groved piece. DUDE this is awesome I'm now can keep it at chest level right in from of me. This is the best idea I have ever gotten off of this site.

I like sanding down the serated piece rather than fuel tubing the fuel tubing seemed too sticky.
As for constant throttle adjustment that is something you have to learn how to do with copter anyways. They are not like planes where you just set the throttle and go, they will need constant adjustment to keep them at a set height. After much practice I can finally do this inside my house for almost a whole battery now.
