2 new products in next shipment
Hello:
The next batch of planes is on the way, this will include the new Extra 260 about which I am very excited. It's just a great flying plane. That shipment will also have some of the 28% planes which we have trouble keeping in stock (though we still have some Edges from the Jan shipment.
With all the excitement of moving and filling end of the year orders I have not had adequate time to get the word out about 2 new products that are in this shipment.
First, there will be a 1.20 size (73" span) version of our popular Edge 540T. I flew the prototype at 11 lbs with a Thunder Tiger 1.20 2 stroke, it was an absolute rocket. It has some extreme rudder authority and otherwise flies much like it's bigger brother. It should be a great 3d/practice plane. It comes with 2 piece wings and stabs like the 28% plane.
Second, we are producing an all composite .25 size pylon racer, also suitable for use with electric. It has a 1 meter wingspan and is an absolutely gorgeous plane. Thin wings, sleek lines, low weight make this thing FAST, our pilot says it feels like his rossi-40 powered quickee 500 when flying with an off the shelf OS 25 FX.
It's painted in the mold so the finish is excellent and durable. It will be available in 3 color schemes.
I must confess to not doing a very good job with photos of these planes. I promise I will have something to show you all soon.
The Edge will be $299, the racer will be $169 with discounts to clubs for purchase of 4 at a time.

RE: 2 new products in next shipment
Tom,
Could you tell us a little more about the 1.20 size Edge? When will it be in? Is there a hardware package available? Would a 1.80 4 stroke be too much weight? How about a small gas engine? Maybe a picture or two?
Thanks,

I will have a HW package available, probably about $50.
I assume you mean a Saito 1.80 4 stroke, that should be OK for weight but awfully much power, should be a 3d giant.
I did this plane for glow, I made the gas planes bigger for gas.

tom,
In my opinion, you need to put a differant scheme on the 28%edge. I really don't like it. The color scheme on the glow is a lot better than the 28% edge..

RE: 2 new products in next shipment
Just goes to a matter of opinion. I happen to like it and I have gotten LOTS of compliments on mine at my local field and there are LOTS of big birds. I have a lot of guys flying 40% Carden, AeroWorks and etc. come over and ask to fly it as they thought it looked great. Everyone liked the scheme. I guy has shelved his 40% Carden after he flew mine. He likes his Carden and DA 150, but he can thrash about 5 of these before he risks as much as his Carden.
Take it easy,
Norman Ross Jr.
As soon as you have some pics (of a model, I saw the drawings) of the Ultimate I sure would like to see it as I am really looking forward to seeing it in the flesh.

Wow great looking Edge! I've been looking for a 1.20 sized Edge since H9 Discontinued. I thought that one looked good but this one looks great! Time to start saving the money! What do you think about a Super Tigre 1.40 (G2300) with a Brison pitts exhaust? Also what servo's has it been flown with?

It's been a few years since I last looked at the ST 2300. I had one from Italy, and it was not at all reliable. I remember a lot of controversy about that motor, some people loved em and others hated them.
If it runs right it would be a great engine for this plane.
