HELP Hangar-9 Ultimate!!!!!
I recently bought the 46% biplane from hangar-9 and noticed there where no decals, does anyone know where to get them? What type of batteries,switches,receiver/bus bar would be the best running on JR-DS8611's. Is the DA-150 enough engine with standard mufflers? I was planning on useing a ZDZ 210 with standard mufflers and saw a few threads with it coming out nose heavy with a 150.Thanks Brian

RE: HELP Hangar-9 Ultimate!!!!!
Brian. You can get graphics for your Ultimate from www.die-hardgraphics.com They did Mikes airplane as well as both of my Ultimates. I have 1 that has about 60 flights on it with a ZDZ 210 done in the Sean Tucker Oracle scheme. I helped offset the motor weight by mounting 3 servos in the tail for the rudder instead of a pull pull system. I also used a Carbon spinner to take some weight off the nose. I am working on my second Ultimate now being recovered in Jim Leroy's Bulldog Scheme. I used NIMH batteries on the first aircraft and they are mounted directly under the canopy. The next one will have Lith-Ions so they will need to be mounted a little further back. I hope this helps you out.

RE: HELP Hangar-9 Ultimate!!!!!
I am using the JR Charge Switch. There are 4 of them on the Oracle and there will be 3 on the Bull Dog. The vertical performance is outstanding with the 210. One of things that is really nice is by using a 34-12 prop my aircraft will slow down more on landings because of the larger prop disk. I have never wanted for more power with this set up. If you use Lith batteries and a light weight pilot you could keep the RTF weight less fuel around 43lbs. I am at 45lbs on my first one with NIMH batteries and a heavy pilot.

RE: HELP Hangar-9 Ultimate!!!!!
Like Chris said there are no Decals included with the Kit . I ordered my decals from aero3dgfx.com.
Yes the DA 150 is enough power.
I'm using two Fromeco 4800 for the rx's one 2400 for the Rudder with 3 8611 and a matchbox. one 2200 TBM for the ignition and fromeco regulators.
Two Smart Fly super switch for the rx's with Dual leads to match the regs. Jr charge switch on Rudder and Ignition.
I moved the Rudder servos to the tail like Chris.
One 8611 per aileron.
My ended up weighting 42 lbs. but that was with Kavan wheels that only lasted 3 flights on my Runway. Now with Dubro I think it's around 42.5.
epc.

RE: HELP Hangar-9 Ultimate!!!!!
I have been running 50oz tanks on the 210 but they last forever. I think a 40oz tank on a good running 210 would be plenty. I will post some pics of the new one Next weekend. I will be at it for 3 days so we should be able to get most of the covering on it

Thanks, I'm going to go with a 40oz fuel tank and 50oz smoke tank.Do you guys think the elevator halfs need two servos?I've seen guys with the Composite-Arf 3.1 Extras having elevator trouble and was wondering if anyone has had any trouble. This being my first forty percent plane I don't want to make any costly mistakes. Thanks Brian

RE: HELP Hangar-9 Ultimate!!!!!
Brian throw 8611's in there and you will not have any problems. Remember to use good mechanical advantage. I think I used the standard H9 HD arms (1") on everything. This includes the ailerons which I have been using single 8611's on with no problems. I will post some pics of my new Ultimate this weekend. I hope to have it done except motor mounted, painting the cowl as well as the graphics.

Thanks thats a big wieght off my shoulders. Forgive my ignorance but you do mean the aluminum arms right, also could you put some close pics of the rudder servos,I was just going to move the batteries if the plane wasn't TO nose heavy but I might have to mount them in the tail.Who makes the pilot you are you getting for the plane. Thanks Brian

RE: HELP Hangar-9 Ultimate!!!!!
Thanks for the pictures EPC.What are the blue aluminum boxes in the fuse picture. Does your plane have somke in it, if so fully loaded how much does it way. A friend of mine said the DA with standard mufflers wouldn't have the power for a vertical snap,is that true? Thanks Brian

RE: HELP Hangar-9 Ultimate!!!!!
Those blue boxes are Fromeco regulators.
At present I don't have smoke on the pane, but will soon.
The Da 150 is enough power to do what ever you want.
