Default additional uses for CA hinges?

I find that I have been using Sig EZ hinges for lots of little reinforcements in cowl mounting, electric motor mounts, wheel pants, even firewall attachments. Thin CA wicks in through the fabric so they are easy to glue in place, easy to cut with scissors and they don't fray wildly like fiberglass tape.
Anybody else doing this?

Yep. I prefer to use some 2 oz fiberglass CA inside the cowl for reenforcement though. CA hinges work fine, but a strip of 2 oz glass reenforces the whole cowl, not just the screw holes.

I do these tricks too. Another use is fixing broken longerons. I will slot the longeron and insert a piece of CA hinge, wick in the CA, sand flush - done!

Safe flying!
