What Roger meant to say is BVM and AMT USA have bought advertising space on the Team shirts. The U. S. Team has cash sponsors other than the two listed by Roger:

FTE Enterprises
Tommy Yates
Tom Poznich
Sally Jo Schatz

The U. S. Team is grateful for all the support shown by these individuals and these businesses. We hope that you will want to be a part of sending the U.S. Team to the World Jet Masters in Hungary this summer. Jump right in and let's make this a very long list!

not trying to be a smart behind but aren't you guys putting the cart before the horse? seems to me if you solicit sponsor $$$$$$$ first and then make that amount known to those who are interested you would then probably get interest from the finest and proven scale jet pilots in the u.s.a. i know everyone needs to start somewhere but,in my opinion there is only one seasoned scale jet competitor on the team ................my 2 cents worth!

I would like to thank all of the people who are working hard to get our team organized and promoted. Without their work and the support of our generous sponsors we would not have a team. I know each member is very excited and honored to be apart of the U.S. WJM team.

Your support is greatly appreciated!!

props to you dustin, at least your actually putting the blood sweat and tears into your bird and not buying your scale building experienceand passing it off as to how much work it was when all some really do (truth be told, is to write a fat ck and wax on wax off!) the build is what seperates a scale competitor from a pattern flyer....................

That can of worms does not need to be opened here in this thread....I think we all understand how the game works. Can't we just keep things positive about the U.S. team and our supporters? As far as I know nobody (from the U.S. team) is claiming to have built their plane when they have not honestly done so..... Start your own thread if you wish to discuss this.
Remember there are two classes at WJM Open and Individual.

OK folks, I requested that RCU (Nathan) remove the negative post started by "grndhd"(incognito) here is Nathan's decision:

"We received your request for support on RCUniverse.
After reviewing your request, we have determined that:

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS FROM SUPPORT STAFF--- Unfortunately, I don't see any rules being broken in his posts. If you're going to put yourself out there and solicit support, you will have naysayers. Answer his questions and address his comments. If done right it could further your need for financial support by those that read what you have to say." - Nathan

So hopefully grndhg will go away but if not we will just have to jump into his hole, huh?
Just a few weeks ago, remember, a similar thread had to be shut down!!!!

If he continues, I will delete his posts. I am going to contact Nathan myself because grndhg's post does not have anything to do with the original thread.

This is my ruling and I am sticking to it and the Stops here!

Dustin,
Thanks for your reply. I chose to support the team because I think this is great. Groundhog's premise, in my opinion is wrong. This is the same sour grapes that was brought up earlier in the year. Everyone was invited to participate in the competition, and of the ones who did compete, a great team was formed. One has to have pretty big cahunas to be making accusations against these guys. Of course, in the next WJM, which hopefully will be held here in the US, I am sure that a larger number of people who THINK they are better at building AND flying jets will compete for a team spot. OF course then, they won't have the huge expense of traveling halfway around the world, with their airplane, to compete in order to represent their country.
ghost_rider,
As a paying member of RCU, I take offense to way that groundhog came in here and took a very useful thread and turned it against the team. If this had been a paid advertiser, then I am sure Nathan would have sent it packing but instead chose to leave it here. I appreciate your efforts to get it rectified.

I defense of Nathan and RCU, please note that neither Nathan nor Marc is into Jets and hence do not follow the thread here. Sometimes it is not easy for them to make educated decisions in this forum and that is what the Jet Mods are here for. I would recommend that the Jet Forum users use the Jet mods as their first line of defense before escalating it to the big guns.

I’ve sent PM to Nathan and Marc and about to send more supporting reference to the previous threads where this issue was discussed in details for their information and necessary action. I know that when the dust settles, grndhg’s post would be removed because it is irrelevant / unnecessary.

You're right ghost, and I apologize if I sounded harsh to the moderators, it was not meant in that fashion. I just know there are a lot of folks out there who are trying to support this tis team, and there are team members who are working hard to represent US in the competition, and I hate to see anything that detracts from that. THanks for setting the record straight.

No apologies required my friend. I believe you post reflect the majority opinions here.

BTW, good luck to those that would be representing us and if I could convince the “War Dept” (Oooppppsssss…. my wife) I will send few $$ to support the team.

Best Regards

Ben

MTA, Inc has made a cash contribution so hopefully we can get sufficient funds to furnish the team with polo shirts , caps and jackets for the Parade of Countries and the photo shoots of the Winners Podium that will be on the net and in all the magazines until 2007 WJM in the States.

The following quote is from an EMail that I received:

"Hi Roger
during WC in Hungary I will offer my assistance for repair for all participants.
Will be there with my big camper with workshop and all material is necessary to make fast-repairs.
I'm a professional jet-builder and also a member of the Swiss-Jet-Scale-Team, but in Hungary as a supporter."
BRG Fritz
www.jetmodel.ch

These will be in abundance during the Event in Hungary, on into the 7th WJM in the States and for many years in the future!!!

More support to report!

Robert Klenke from Glen Allen, Virginia has just made a generous donation to the U. S. Team!

Will you be next to add your name to this list of contributors?

Please contact either myself or Roger Shipley if you are interested in supporting this effort to get the U.S. Team to Hungary this summer. I am serving as Team Manager and Treasurer for the U.S. Team.

Checks should be made out to Ozark Mountain Jets. You can note elsewhere on the check that it is in support of the U.S. World Jet Masters Team.
