Default new used revo problems??

I just got a revo with no info on it. I went and bought a hi-tech SRX and a starter and I got it running. not well though.

It doesnt go very fast and when I do get any type of speed at all the front end shakes something fierce. Also the truck pops everytime I hit the throttle. It goes in reverse and it does go so I dont know if its the tranny. I dont know anything about this truck or any MT Im a ST guy untill yesterday. What do I need to know about this thing and is there anything that needs replaced(upgraded) right away? Please help with all the REVO advice you can. Thanks

check for water in the front tyres as the weght will be getting thrown about if there is some in there causing your front end to shake

as for the sluggish performance have u tuned it properly the trx 2.5r is a very strong engine for its size but very pernickity and when tuned properly will wheelie your revo no bother at all

No water in the front tires. I have the high speed at 4 turns out and the low needle flush.

check your a arms from being cracked, i cracked about 4 sets of them and that caused my revo to shake like a leaf.

also just do the normal leak tests on everything, and go tune from there

It was hanging in 1st for way to long so I lowered the shift point and got a little more speed. I replaced all the fuel tubing and added a fuel filter. The hi-tech srx I got today was cracked so I took it back and got a Hi-tech CRX no extra charge. So I paid 70 bucks for a brand new CRX without servos or a reciever. Im gonna replace the tank lid ring and glowplug tomorrow and try to tune it again. I still have to figure out the loud poping noise when I hit the throtle.

I don't think Revos do this, but every Tmaxx I've driven has lurched and clicked at low engine speeds. it might be normal.

There are not internal clutches in the revo transmission so if it's lurching like a t-maxx you got problems.
