Adding trim over Ultracoat ???
I purchased a 28% plane a few weeks ago and do to a mix up
I was sent an all white plane.
The plane is covered in white Ultracote. What I need to know is
what are the best ways to add the trim scheme over the Ultracote?
I was thinking about Monokote applied with Windex and then trim solvent
around the edges.
I have also herd that the covering can be painted, I do have an air brush,
and fine line tape. But what happens if the covering sags later? Can the
covering be shrunk after it is painted?
What about sign vinyl? Is it to heavy?
Thank you for the help.

RE: Adding trim over Ultracoat ???
Hi!
Oracover (Ultracote in the US) is easy to use as trim.
Just go along as normal when you cover an airplane ...heat it with an iron! Windex or anything like it is not necessary to avoid bubbles.

So if I keep the heat low ultracote will not trap air???
I have some large sections to do in blue, I plan on putting
it right over the white ultracote. Do I just tack the edges and
go back to the middle and work my way out?
I have used mostly monokote in the past, and that traps air like
mad!

Here is a thread with some good info about using MonoKote over UltraCote. I have not had as much success as jaka keeping the bubbles out when using UltraCote as trim. That probably has more to do with my skill than the product I'm using.
