Mossy
My friend Richard just completed a Mossy (mosquito) using Holman
plans. I had the honor to fly it this morning. It flys very well and flys
very quite fast at half throttle. He used two GMS .47's and Futaba
radio gear. He also added flaps.
Oh, I know this will come up, there was a yellow prototype.

RE: Mossy
Jerry,
Your friend Richard has a great looking Mosquito there.
Can you elaborate more on how it flies? Any bad tendencies? Did you land with flaps down? Which retracts were installed, and how did they hold up?

RE: Mossy
It flys well with no noticed bad tendencies. The flaps were
not used due to the wind blowing about 10 mph and gusting higher.
It proved to be a floater on landing, kinda surprising me a bit.
I stalled it up high and it exhibited a very gentle, straight ahead
mush and started flying again.
It was very responsive in both pitch and yaw. Rolls were axial.
Sorry, no retracts, fixed gear was used to keep it simple.
Wing loading is about 31 oz (I think).
Low passes looked awesome, sure had fun flying it.
Can't stop grinning when thinking about it.
