Elevator servos on 33%
I am deciding on what servos to use in my 33% Extra which will be flown 90% in aerobatics, like 3D hard aerobatics.
Would JS 9411s be enough for the elevators? Are digitals necessary or would a good analog work such as a 9402 or similar?
Thanks for sharing.

do you mean JR 8411'S?? if so yes they are plenty beefy enough for your application,I believe their output is 155 oz torque at approx. .18 speed...awesome servos ,if they work in 200 mph turbine jets then they will hold up to any other abuse thrown at them!!

Well no, I really meant the 9411, digital, metal gears, about 85 oz. of torque. I ask because they are lighter and I want less tail weight, so I want a servo weighing less than 1.8 oz.

I would not use the 9411s you need the torque of the 8411 or my preference would be the Hitec 5945 it is what I am using in a Troybuilt extra 260 and 2 fiberclassics extra 330Ls all of which are 35 % size airplanes. And any good non digital servo of at least 150 oz. torque will work also but I would recommend the digitals.

Thanks Steve. I was hoping to save that weight, but I may not get to.
How are you liking your FCs? Did you have a stab incidence problem with yours that I have heard others complaining about?
