power line hobbies edge 540
just got one the other day, and decided to share my thoughts on this plane. first of all right out of the box, i knew this was going to be a winner. hardly any wrinkles. plane assembled very well with just a few modifications. one problem was the cowl was cracked. i called power line and within three days i had a new cowl in my hands. hows that for service. plane is very well built, and has a sliding engine box, which makes balancing the plane a no brainer. this is about the tenth arf i have assembled, and i would rate it as good as any. it is probaly the only arf i have assembled that i used the supplied hardware with. if it flys half as good as it looks it will be a keeper. if anyone has any questions let me know, dont want to ramble on any more than i have.

Where did you get it? I used to see it advertised somewhere but I forgot where I saw it but it looked real nice.
Where online can I get the specs?
Thanks, Chris

Well I have one and here she is.
I agree with your post as for the craftmanship in the kit (awesome)
I did recover mine for I really did not like the red and white that came on mine.
Would have prefered the yellow and blue scheme.
The one and only issue I had was the landing gear bolt were slightly off and I had to make corrections. NO Biggie
Here is a list of items I used in my plane.
Saito 1.80
JR4721 for the rudder
hsbb77 hitecs in the wings
hitec micro servo on the throttle
hitec 625's on the elevator's
great planes 24oz tank
Also running on board glow from electro dynamics.
Have a just a few more things to accomplish before she is ready. Just some loose ends.
Outside of that have fun I'm sure they will fly great. And you can't beat the 199.00 price tag.

i got mine at the lhs. i seen one on rcu for sale. i think it is 199.99 plus shipping. try www.powerlinehobbies.com maybe you can get one right from them. here is a list of whats on mine so far
zenoah g-23 on glo
all hitec 545 servo except throttle which is futaba 3004
mine is the blue and yellow version
smoke system(homemade)
17x4 apc prop
aluminum spinner
when i installed the rudder servo, i raised it one half inch above the servo tray. this in turn raised the pull-pull cables up and away from the formers and servo extensions.
everything else is pretty much out of the box. i thought the hardware package was exceptional for an arf.
i put an eight ounce smoke tank right under the wing tube, and put the pump and battery in the rear of the engine box.
i dont think you could do much better for the price. oh, and one of my landing gesr bolts was off too.
