Default Fuel dot options

Does any company make a fuel dot like 3w besides 3w? I like the screw in and out feature so the dot doesn't pop out, I like the fact that it uses a quarter. I just don't want it saying 3w on the face of it.

Set the one from Dons Hobby. It requires only a quarter turn. Very nice.

You're right. I don't think I'll ever have much chance of writing opening lines for Jay Leno

The DA ones are real nice looking, but if you have short nails, forget it, they are hard to get out without using a prying device...I machined out the groove a bit to make the fit a little looser and that helped.

The 3W one is nice too, I just put it in the lathe and cut off the 3W logo, now it is blank and looks good..

I was really looking for one that turns just so it doesn't fall out accidentally. I definately like the look of the Desert Aircraft the best, you just can't go wrong with the red anodized screws. I never thought of having the 3w logo turned off on a lathe. I have done searches and looked up fuel dots on google. Everyone always seems to say Dons hobby. But nobody has a picture of it. Anyone want to snap a quick picture?

Thanks, Steve

Their current ad running in the model mags has a very good closeup of their fuel dot. (Try MAN or RCM).

I like and use the ones from Jersey modeler. They are reasonable and if you buy a bunch they will give you a deal.

I use the H9 gold dots on my big planes. They don't fall out and are reasonably priced.
