Questions about Superchargers and cold air intakes
I dont understand how these "SuperChargers" and "Cold air Intakes" are supposed to work with engines this small. I know for a fact that the superchargers dont work. And the cold air intakes, how is moving the air filter to the front make it cold air?
If the air temperature here in Vegas is 90*F, it does not matter how fast your rc is moving, the air being sucked in is 90*F or above.
And these superchargers.... how can you compress air in a chamber that the piston head covers the air/fuel intakes before it covers the exhaust port? It would just push the "extra" air out.
Can someone help explain? I was at the RB Innovations website reading about how the superchargers work, but its all bullcrap. Whether your car is sitting at idle or WOT, its sucking in the absolute most about of air it can.
Maybe someone can enlighten me.
Im getting this info from my dad whose hobby has been muscle cars, rat rods, retro rods, hot rods, dragsters, etc for over 40 years.

And another thing, I wouldnt spend $25 for one of those "High flow/intake air filter" that Rb sells, because all it is is a small fuel filter that you can buy for $10 at AutoZone or Checker.
Heres a picture of a $28 Rb Innovations super duper airfilter
And heres a picture of my $10 Fuel Filter from Autozone

Im using one on my Truckzilla .46, and it seems to be making it run much smoother now. Sa far it seems that these have much less air restriction as the other filters, but they look like they wont clean the air as much. Ill have to see after a few more tanks.

those filters are really bad, they let in lil pieces of dirt unlike the motor saver which is perfect in everyway and cheaper

Aren't those paper filters...? I wouldn't really recommend running a paper filter on these engines.

They just do not clean the air as well as a foam filter would. The paper filters allow more dust and things to pass through into your engine. (That's not a good thing...haha)
