Dual Rates
Don,
I'm setting up a 87" EF Yak for IMAC, but would also like to do some 3D. By setting up the elevators for 40 degrees of throw, I had to have my low rate at about 25%. Is that to low, will that cause the servo resolution to be to low? The travel Adj. is at 150% (JR 8103). I'm using a spcm rec., with digital servo's. What is the lowest dual rate value I can have, and still have good resolution for precision flying. The servo are is 1 inch.
Thanks
Harry

RE: Dual Rates
I'd suggest using th 1 1/4 servo arms, if that will give you your 40 degree throw on the elevator. Then you can dial your ATV down from 150 percent to about 110 to 120 percent. Set your trim resolution to 1 percent after your first flight. As long as your linkages are fairly tight, it should work. I have a similar setup on several of my planes.
Good flying.
