Revo Fuel flow problems
Looking for a little help with my Revo. I am having issues where once they engine gets up to operating temp it is dying during deceleration and hard breaking. When I pop the top off there is no fuel in the lines leading to the engine. I have replaced the fuel lines, pipe, and used the fuel tank rebuild kit. When I try to start her up again the fuel doesn't want to go, even when I cover the exhaust to create more pressure, but when I pop the line off of the carb it flows out no problem. During the engine break in period this did not seem to be a problem.
Any thoughts or suggestions? My local hobby store guys don't have much of a clue.

RE: Revo Fuel flow problems
Have you checked your carb for obstructions. If you get a heavy build up of debris in the line just before the highspeed needle it can block the fuel flow.
I would remove the fuel line from the carb and turn the engine over while plugging the exhaust to see if it pumps fuel that way. If you cover the exhaust and turn the engine over with the fuel line off of the carb you should have fuel pouring out of t at a good rate. If you get fuel flowing nice, then I'd guess that whatever is blocking it is in the carb. If you don't get a steady flow of fuel then I'd guess you either have an airleak (would have to be pretty severe pressure leak to prevent flow completely) or else you have an obstruction somewhere that you are missing.
Just a couple guesses. Good luck.

RE: Revo Fuel flow problems
Popping the fuel line off the carb and checking was the first thing I did and it pumped out just fine. What is making me shake my head is that its not a constant problem. I could run through half the tank just fine, then all of a sudden it dies 2-3 times in a row, then runs fine again for several more minutes. I'm debating on rebuilding the carb, but its not something I feel 100% comfortable with.
Is it possible that the engine might be running a little on the hot side and causing some sort of pressure issue?

That would be odd. Did you check your pipe coupler for splits. if the coupler splits it may spread open at high temps and cause a lack of pressure in the tuned pipe, causing reduced pressure to the fuel system. Just another guess.
