Default Skymaster tires flying off rims

Was flying my Skymaster Gripen this past weekend and am using original Skymaster wheels/brakes. Just before rotation, one of the nose wheel tires flew off its rim. Did a short flight and on landing, the main tire flew off its rim as well. I was grounded. Axles are well lubed and rim lock-up was not the cause.

Both rubber tires were found later and I was wondering if this is typical of Skymaster tires, and if they should be glued with some flexible type glue?

Emailed Skymaster for advise a few days ago with no response.

Should I purchase a better brand or can the tires be glued to the rims?

Thanks
peter

Peter,
You have the old Airpower Wheels (not Skymaster), this was a known defect and they have since been changed in design, eliminating the problem. contact me at [email protected] and I will replace the wheel set for free.
