Default .25 engine tuning headaches...

Okay, I have a .21 SS kit that I put a .25 and a three speed on. When it's running good, it's a blast. The three speed rocks and the torque from the .25 makes it a real crowd pleaser. I've been running MC-8s (like I did in the .21) but I burn one up about every 2 hours of run time. I'm using Wildcat Eliminator R/C Car Race Fuel, 20% nitro content. I've really never really been happy with the MC-8 in this .25. It acts like the plug is too cold because it "loads up" on fuel at idle and wants to stall. But then again, the plug burns up like it's too hot of a plug if I run it hard. I know that HPI recommends this plug for this engine, but what plugs are ya'll running out there? And what fuel? I have run a MC-59 and it idles much better and has a lot more power on the bottom end, but hard running shortens the life of the plug. I'm ready to put my .21 back on. I had less trouble out of it.........
