Final assembly 65" Yak Last one I promise
Hey guys I know I'v been posting all kinds of stuff on this bird, but I really am stumped on these few things.
- How in the world is the right wing panel servo lead supposed to get to the receiver on the other side???
- On my tail servos in the first slot the tunnel goes all the way back to the receiver compartment, but how does the second servo get to the tunnel? Do I cut a similar channel to get to the firsts servo slot?
- Also for my Saito 180, is there enough hardwood to just trim out the motor mount, or am I going to have to replace it with hardwood or something like that?
-To balance the heavy engine where should I locate my battery?
Thanks
It's almost done. I have the wing and the tail group all squared away.

- How in the world is the right wing panel servo lead supposed to get to the receiver on the other side??? You need to cut a hole thru the sheeting, Right inside the box. A small rectangular hole just enough for your servo lead to go thru. Then plug into receiver
- On my tail servos in the first slot the tunnel goes all the way back to the receiver compartment, but how does the second servo get to the tunnel? Do I cut a similar channel to get to the firsts servo slot? It goes up the same tunnel, just work the servo lead around the first servo.
- Also for my Saito 180, is there enough hardwood to just trim out the motor mount, or am I going to have to replace it with hardwood or something like that?
Yes there is plenty of room. Another person just put in an older ST2000 or something and had enough wood.
-To balance the heavy engine where should I locate my battery? In the back part of the wing root. Wrap it in foam and stuff it clear to the back. Then stuff the rest of the bay with more foam. Just incase you crash that battery may get dislodged and tumble around in there. Cracking everything in it's way. Don't ask me how I know>

Sweet ride man!!!
I cannnot wait to get this bird in the air!!!
Thanks for all the answers.
On the tail servos, I know they both go down the same tunnel but the first servo slot has the tunnel, and the aft servo slot doesn not have any way to get the servo wire from the aft servo slot to the front servo slot so it can go down that same tunnel.
Very confisng, I know. I think I'll just cut it all the was through.
See ya!!!
Pics to come.

Faster, on my 65'' yak I tunelled a hole into the foam from the bottom of the fuse for my battery hatch between the back of the wing and the servos to use the battery for ballance. No dead weight and a lot more secure than in the wing. The hole is just big enough for the battery to slide into and the battery extension will go through the rear servo chanell to the reciever. Then use a little foam to keep it from moving, glue a 1/2 inch peice of balsa over the hole and recover that small opening on the bottom of fuse. just install everything exept the battery then set the battery on the fuse to see where the battery needs to be to ballance with no dead weight.
My yak has a Saito 120 so you may need that battery towards the rear just like mine did.

Yea the 180-150-120 or the same case size and weight so I should be about the same?
would you say this compromises the durability?
