couple newbee questions
Howdy,
I have a couple of simple questions, so don't laugh to hard.
1 - can you point me to some good documentation that deals with nicad batteries and keeping them healthy?
2 - I live up in the north country. My son and I (backyard RC) have a monster truck and buggy. In the winter, I would guess that its not good to bury these things in snow drifts. If we drive on plowed streets and driveways, do we have to worry about destroying the electronics?
3 - Is nitro engines high maintenance compared to electric? (simple answer please - for now).
Thanks!!

RE: couple newbee questions
This should help with the battery question.

Yes ntiro takes more maintenance but to me it is more enjoyable. Not sure about electric but you can run nitro in snow if you prepare it for the wet. I live in the south and see very little snow.

RE: couple newbee questions
46u - thanks for the link. Interesting stuff!
On a more general level, I have a Mega 2 AC/DC quick charger. It will trickle charge and discharge a battery along with the quick charger.
- I have been discharging the battery on the charger every time. Good idea???? I want to make sure its drained, so it won't develop 'memory'
- so far I have been charging the batteries on the quick charge (due to time and having 4 batteries). Should I be alternating (when charging a dead battery) between quick and trickle? Example - every 4th time I charge a battery, use the trickle charger instead of the quick charge.
- how many chargers do you own compared to number of batteries (for convenience)?
Thanks...
