Any Jet Flying in Cyprus?????
I have finally managed to get a holiday
In early October I am off to Protras in Cyprus for a week and I am doubtful that i can make it this long without being around any jets[&:]. So I was wondering is there anywhere not too far away that a friend and I can go and see what jet modeling is like on the island?

Ali,
Judging by the amount of orders I recieve from this region, I would say there is plenty of jet modeling going on in Cyprus. If you get no replies here, I will attempt to contact a few of my customers and find out where they are flying

HELLL YEAH!
I just had a joy of watching BVM's Rafale yesterday at Akrotiri Salt Lake. This is the most beautiful RC field!
There are SuperBandit, Hawk in RedArrows livery (some scottish guy i think) and i guess more.
I'll make some photos next week since no one is posting here from Cyprus. [>:][>:][>:]

I fly at the Nicosia club.

The runway is about 150 metres of tarmac, about to be extended to 250 metres.
I fly my Avonds F15 & Eurosport there most weekends, although you can fly any day of the week.
It would be about an hours drive from Protaras to the Nicosia club.
Jet flying at the salt lake in Limassol is usually on a weekend. It is often to windy to fly. Sometimes no jets are there.
It would be about a 1&3/4 hour drive.
I can take you to either site any day of the week & you can burn some Kero on my jets.

You should know there's jet flying in Cyprus. You and Ali Snr sold part of what's flying these days here. When you're here please give me a call and I can arrange with the rest of the gang for you to go around. (0035799467086)
I'll be out of Cyprus October 6th to October 10th, but I'll make sure you won't miss out on the big fun. If you're staying in Protatras, Jim is closest to you and can take care of the morning activities for you, but nightlife is my expertise (ask your dad). Get ready for some wild stuff!!!!
