The King Of Left Overs
My flying buddy, former WW II & Korea Marine aviator, "Flaps" Laffert, like to design and build crazy airplanes. I get to test and fly them. This time it's a pusher-puller twin.
Someone gave him and old, partially built, Top Flite Corsair kit. It's the original one with all the balsa blocks and it wasn't put together very well so he decided not to finish it. He didn't have a project so he decided to build a twin from the Corsair frame. Since he is using old and left over parts and balsa, he calls it the "King Of Left Overs." You can see the results so far.
-Corsair inverted gull wings with the rounded tips clipped.
-Fuselage chopped off just past the trailing edge and a second firewall installed.
-Power is 2 Magnum .52 4-strokes.
-The twin booms are Ultracote tubes coated with finishing resin.
-The plane will be 1-piece.
-Two rudder servos in the wings.
-Two elevator servos in the wings. The elevator will be split and mixed.
-Dual aileron servos.
-Two throttle servos using the throttle channel and a JR Matchbox for throttle mixing.
-Radio: My JR 8103 with 770 PCM receiver.
I'll post more photos when he gets finished.

[b]Ed:
Looks like the illegitimate offspring of a Corsair and a Cessna 336, or maybe just a 336 flying inverted. Haw.
In your earlier note you mentioned worry about its being tail heavy. With all the servos in the wing I'd be inclined to think it should be fine as designed. Or as cobbled up.
Bill.

RE: The King Of Left Overs
It's pretty normal for Flaps. And it won't fly until the CG is 33% or on the main spar.
He goes out to his shop and builds 6-7 hours a day, 7 days a week. It's no wonder I test fly a lot of planes. Since the middle of 2000, counting his planes and mine, nearly all built by him, I have test flown over 100 planes. It's no wonder I go broke buying engines and servos, especially since I like good engines and digital servos.

RE: The King Of Left Overs
It looks somwhat like a model call the' Twin-Trainer' that was a construction article in Model Airplane News years ago. An interesting start to multi-engine models. Regards.

It isn't a start at multi-engine models, it's out 12th. We have 6 others with engines and radios flying at this time.
Twin Stick-GMS .47s
T-Raider (twin fuselage Sky Raider)-OS .46AXs
Outsider (twin Tiger 2)-OS .46AXs
TwinStar-GMS .32
Brittan-Normal Islander-Magnum .28
Triple-Air (Twin-Air 45 with 3rd engine)-2 GMS .32, 1 TT .46
Flaps had nothing else to build and a poorly started, free, Corsair kit.
