How to start an online hobby store
Im seriously considering starting an online hobby store. I have website design skills so designing is no problem.
How do you become an HPI dealer etc? How do they work stock etc? Do do buy the kits at dealer cost and then sell?
Thanks for any info that can be given.

I am not sure about HPI - but check out the following from Great Planes. It spells it out pretty clearly!
http://www.gpmd.com/howto.html
The required inventory they will make you purchase will be substantial. They will check on your credit, your finanical backing, your history and resume, etc. Very few distributors are going to sell you to you if you are working out of your house.
I don't mean to sound harsh, but you don't just open a hobby shop, even online. It takes planning, major financial resources, lots of hard work. I own my own business and while not hobby related, I have some idea of what it is like.
Good luck and start researching. It is going to take time and some financial backbone!

Well I don't know much , but my best bet would be contacting the companies you plan on selling parts for, get their info, prices, etc...
