"Fly Model Factory" ARF, CMP knock-off.
Hi,
I bought a Hellcat 120 ARF from eBay which is manufactured by Fly Model Factory from China.
This is a copy of CMP Hellcat, they said. I believe some online hobby(RaidenTech) stores also sell these ARFs.
Since I don't know about this ARF, let's make a feedback thread about this ARF.
I've only open the box for inspection and this is my opinion.
PROS ))
- Looks very good.
- Good covering, paint job and packaging,
- Parts looks ok.
- Good price, 70" WS, 120 sie Hellcat at $130 delivered.
CONS ))
-Fuselage's fiberglass is thinner than I expected.
-F/G cowl is also thin.
- Balsa inside fuse that hold servo, is also thin.
Thanks.
Jake.

I to bought one of those Hell Cats on ebay too, but was not as lucky as you ,mine was missing all the tail parts, the directions were stuck between the graphics backer sheet and the graphics and the covering was all wrinkled not sure if it can be removed it looks to me like its been painted with some type of oil based paint After 60 days and 10 msgs. he keeps telling me "I send part tomorrow".it never happens, he then probably has a good laugh for him self. The one I bought from, calls himself AIRPLANEHOBBY, there is another company selling the same air plane. I'm hopping to get one from him and use this on for parts

Sorry to hear that.. I bought mine from the same guy and
may be u ought to wait a little more since he's probably also waiting from the manufacturer,
Since this is a CMP knock-off, can u buy tail parts from GiantScalePlanes ?
Or even better one would be from "raidentech.com".

I have heard from several sources that these are the same planes, not copies. Fly Model don't manufacture ALL their range, as is the case with most of the Chinese suppliers, instead they buy in from other manufacturers such as CMPro to complete their range.
And even CMPro don't manufacture ALL their range either.

I have got a hellcat on the way from that same seller on ebay. It should arrive next week. Mine was $140 shipped. I will post comments once it arrives next week.

my ebay hellcat arrived yesterday. Overall I would say that it was constructed very well. I don't know if its an actual GSP or knock-off, but I certainly can't tell. Fiberglass appears strong, nothing is warped, and the covering looks nice. I am very pleased and it was $140 well spent in my opinion.
