Stinger 60 w/ OS 61?
I have an OS 61 FX that's looking for a plane. I like the looks of a Stinger 60 and my LHS has a good deal on one. Anyone flying that plane with an OS 61? A guy at the LHS has this setup and he says it flies just fine, but I've not seen his plane fly (and he's selling). A Lanier tech support guy said for my skill level the plane will fly well with the OS 61 (but he's selling, too). I'm concerned about using an engine at the low end of a recommended range (60 - 90). My objective is to learn pattern maneuvers with a plane that has a longer tail moment than my Wild Stik, which is really twitchy because of its HUGE control surfaces. I'm beyond trainers but not quite intermediate, so I'm not looking for torque rolls, just a nice beginning pattern ship.
Thanks,
Bidwin

That is a great combination. Just make sure that your balance point is far enough back--you will have to move the battery (and likely the servos) to the tail. There is an excellent thread on doing this back some way on this site--do a search.
I flew mine until it literally fell apart.

I agree, the .60 is a good choice. I had a TT .91 in one and had to move the battery back and add tail weight to get a balance. The plane is very light, it will do well with the OS.
