F-18C Cockpit - who has done one?
I am building the JL F18 and I was going to order the skymaster drop in cockpit for it but I was told that it required modifications to fit the C model.
My question before I place the order is, has anyone put one in a C model and if so did you have any issues with placement? Also are there any other good alternative kits out there?
Pictures would be great ?
Thanks
Dave

David,
I do carry it a while back. But lately have a hard time to find the guy do the cockpit work for me.
I don't know where he is.
If you plan to do Blue Angel. I have one left.

RE: F-18C Cockpit - who has done one?
Hi Dave,
I have a C model and have tried to fit the cockpit in and it appears to be quite a bit too large. I will have to enlarge the opening in the fuselage quite a bit to fit it in. I am not sure if I am going to be able to make it fit without butchering the fuse but I would like to use it because it looks great.
Let me know if you would like measurements of the cockpit.
Craig.

Tam I am not doing a blue angel but what is the difference between it and a regular cockpit? Can you send me some pictures to [email protected]
It is hard for me to imagine with all the C model F-18's out there that there that no one makes a good cockpit for it.
Craig, if you can that would be great.

Hi Trond, and welcome to the forum[sm=RAINFRO.gif]
The cocpit looks awesome. Funny that it was a near perfect fit for the Rookie.... Maybe I'll have to order one for my new Rookie too....

I have this cockpit and i bought it to my sky-master F-18C, but it is simply too big.
But it fits nice in my new rookie

You do have to move the front wheel steering servo down a bit to make the space.
And I had to cut off some of the cockpit just under the pilot seat because of the power box.

RE: F-18C Cockpit - who has done one?
Has anyone tried to put the SM f-18 cockpit in a bobcat Composit?
Can some one give me some measurements of the f-18 cockpit . L X W X H and the instrument panel width and height.
Thanks
Alan
