New H9 PLANE COMING SOON??
Greetings all,
Any idea or input about the new H9 planes coming in 2006?
I am tempted by the Quique Zomenzini Yak and the new Aeroworks QB extra 260.
However I am waiting to see what H9 is offering for 2006 just in case.
Thanks
Serge

Wait a week and a half. The manufacturers that attrend the IMS Show out on the Left Coast usually have several new products, and Hangar 9 (Horizon Hobby) is going to be there.
You don't think they'd show up empty handed, do you?
Personally I'm looking for the new Great Planes Stag....
OOPS! I promised not to tell anyone...

MX2 is a new aerobatic aircraft. I saw it at Oshkosh 2004. Looks like a Giles with a double tapered wing, and an IO-540 in the nose. I really would have liked to fly that one. Should be awesome. Also saw the new Chanute at Oshkosh also. Very differnt wing design for an aerobatic aircraft. Scott

The AMA show is the week after this. I will be there. Maybe H9 will come up with something but probably not until the toledo show IMO. I thought the MX22 was the 9303? Looks like a nice radio.

They have an 80" "plug and play" cub on their website. I would expect to see some other things soon.

Dick - thats no fair! Now spill the beans for us already! [:-]
The MX will be available sometime this year as an ARF from Wild Hare. Check their forums for details but I dont think its planned until much later this year once Tom gets it finalized for production. Only Giant is plan on is the new H9 P47 later this winter

I would like to see Hanger 9 come out with a large aerobatic plane that Mike would fly in a major competition. I never under stood why Hanger 9 expects you to pay between $800-$1,600 for one of their large planes but their own people won’t fly them in any kind of significant contest. I know it’s probably not profitable to produce a plane like this but it would be nice to see.

Depending on who you talk to the 33% Extra 330S has been/will be discontinued. Seems like a great time to introduce a bigger brother to the 27% 260.... Although I asked Mike that question about a month ago and he said no, but time will tell.

You know, I agree on the Edge in general. I am not a big Edge fan either, but I do like my 33% Edge better than the other 33% models. If I were going to fly one of our 33%ers in competition it would be the one I'd choose. In fact, had I had time to prepare for and go to the XFC, I would have flown the Edge .

Not to burst any bubbles but I read this post and imediatly called Horizon talked to a tech rep and he stated there there is no 33% size air planes comming out. He said the only thing they can see comming is a and I quote...... "THE ONLY THING THAT MAY BE COMMING IS RE RELEASE OF AN OLDER POPULAR MODEL IN ANOTHER SCHEME" I wish there was a new on comming out my self. I own just about every 33% H9 makes and would love to see a new one.
By the way when I called I stated to the tech at Horizon I was in the market for another 33 % airplane and asked if I should wait for a possible new release from H9. If there was one you would think he would say wait.
