Of course it will make you stop faster, the brakes will be more responsive.
I dont think that there is a need for a brake kit, because I usually dont see a need to stop.

I was looking at my t-maxx and found that the brake rod was not has tight has it could be, and now the truck stop much faster the befor.

I personally didn't like the rrp brake I found that if you scuff up the metal plates on the stock braking system it stops much faster, I've ended up on my lid more than once from braking to hard.

Yeah thats why I stick with the stock one, I can mash on the brakes and nothing happens, it just stops. No flipping over. haha.
