Default transmitter/reciever batteries questions.....

I have a 9.6v nicd batt pack that I used in a cheapo R/C. Would I be able to rig the Traxxas TQ transmitter to use my rechargable pack in it instead of alkalines? Also, I have some 1000mah rechargable AAs that I would like to use in the reciever. How long would these provide power to the reciever? Thanks in advance for any replies!

No, the layout would be different. Typical 9.6v packs are 4 AA's across and 2 high - Most Transmitters either use 2 tall brick or 8 horizontally in a row.

You can use the rechargeable AA's, but there are much better ones out there. Energizer has 2500 mah AA's that can be recharged in as little as 30 minutes. I use those in all of my controllers.

The 2500's last me several days of running (I recharge them after approx 5-6 hours of running). It only takes an hour and I don't want to risk low Tx batteries.

If you really want a rechargable pack, they are out there and are usually specific to your radio.
