ive got a ta04s with a 1700 battery, standard servo, blown esc which needs replacing.

i want a beast that is capable of hitting 90-100 km/h no probs on a full charge.

what do i need to buy?

parts, servo, motor, esc etc?


once i have all this equipment what type of battery will give me about 15mins run time?



to hit this type of speed what will be the costs do u think?
is it realistic to think i can get this speed without price going through the roof?

maybe an Assocated sphere competition with a neo 4 star which costs $275 on tower
as for 15 minuterun times that is impossible unless you buy lipo batteries which cost somewhere like $200+

This Brushless motor and ESC that have the power as a 5.5 turn motor, If this won't get you up to that speed , i dont know what will

Ooh Ooh pick me Pick me... My choice would be a hacker brushless c-50 motor along with a hacker esc, for batteries a IB3800 pack from boom boom batteries, although I dont know if you'll get 15 minutes even with that battery as the c50 is a serious piece of motor. Servo, a hitec is good not sure on the exact servo but hitec makes good servos. Hope that helped a little.

of course lipos are expensive and somewhat dangerous when not handled right. Also you would need a lipo charger so that's at least another $70. I think you should just stick to nimh get the batteries caddykid said. 1700mah won't get you any runtime with brushless!

Lipos are good, but I would not suggest them for you.

I have been in the hobby for quite a while, and am still afraid of switching to lipos. They take a special care that I don't have.

I would suggest the IB3800 packs from www.boomboombatteries.com

The Sphere/Neo combo, as posted above, are great.

The reedy is nice but the c50 will definately be faster then all the other posted systems, which in turn will also be the most expensive.

A good charger will peakit better giving it more power and run time

basically if you have one of those little black boxes that plug into the wall and have a little cable coming out which attaches to the battery and takes 6 hours to charge it's a piece of junk and you should get another charger

yeh i upgraded my charger recently to.

its got a internal fan, digital display which shows volts, nimh, blah blah blah.


didnt really understand why on earth id need to pay $100 aus for a charger but the guy explained it well.
