Default Futaba FP T7UAP Controller and G3

I don't have all the cash that some of the others in this forum have to buy nice, new radio systems, (I spent all my money on G3!!) so I'm forced to use my trusty old Futaba 7 channel FP T7UAP controller with G3 if I want to use something other than the Interlink Plus. The only problem is that it's a PCM radio and apparently G3 does not support that technology. Does anyone know how to make this radio operate in PPM mode or if it's even possible? I'd really like to use this transmitter instead of the one included with the sim.

Also, if it proves to not be possible to use it, does anyone know if it is supported by AFPD? If so, perhaps it's time to sell G3...

Thank you!

So, I posted this question on a different site and someone helped me out. But, I saw that several people looked at this post, so here's the answer:

In the "PARA" menu of the radio, use the cursor button to go to the PCM option and use the "+" & "-" keys to select between PCM and PPM.

P-Diddy, thanks for following up your own question.

I saw it but don't use Futaba's anymore. And figured there'd be a Futaba user along shortly.

Guess the guys who do just aren't very helpful....

Hi max, can you post a photo of the connector behind your radio? For older Futaba radios, it could be a DIN6 or DIN5. If it is a DIN6, then that adapter will work. Then you will have to set your radio to PPM mode as per post #2 above.

Max1,

Did you get it to work? It really should work with AFPD just as easily as with G3.x...

The main thing is finding out how to change it from PCM to PPM. If you can get a hold of the old instruction manual, that will explain how.

I'm sorry I did not see your question sooner!!
