D-crum, you use what you have. that's the basic rule of building anytihng on a budget. I think it's ingenuitive. Ghetto as hell, but ingenuitive, and shows motivation to get what you want.
C-crum, I dig it. now get us some action shots

RE: mini stick
I love it. That is like 20 minutes of destruction and reconstruction plus 2 dollars worth od materials, and I bet it's capable. Very nice, my 13 year old brother doesnt even know what ESC stands for, let alone biuld anything.

RE: mini stick
towerhobbies carries loads of material, I think CF would work awesome probablly, its really hard to snap, just make sure it doesnt crack at one of the ends, cuz the crck will turn into a full length split, also is CF has force applied it will bend slightly(alsot less than the wood) and snap right back to its original form, whereas aluminum just bends, and its so light...Id try CF first, if you have something into the end of the CF tube try tightly wrapping thread(preferably kevlar thread, which tower probablly has) then while its still tight coat it with CA glue, that will prevent the cracking at the ends...
