engine priming

Default engine priming

i can't figure it out. i have a t maxx and i can't get the fuel to reach the engine. i have tried putting my finger over the exhust and nothing. is my piston and sleeve shot? someone please help. btw it has a trx 2.5

check for an air leak maybe on the tank or in the fuel lines etc

turn the fly wheel by hand does it still feel tight or does it spin really easy

it gets tight and then lets go and goes fairly easily and then tight again

thats good ,take the fuel line of the exhaust and blow through it in to the tank does the fuel go into the engine now

good right now check for a split in your header or silicon connector and also check the rubber gasket from the engine to the header

the gasket from the header toi the motor is just a little orange O ring right? if there is something else it isn't there. oher then that everythng is ok.

no thats all you get a little orange rubber seal,how much fuel have you used with the engine ?also take your pipe off and blow through it as it might be blocked pressure nipple(cover the stinger and blow though the outher end and the air will come out the the nipple)

i just replaced the piston and sleeve. shortly after break in i had a run away. the truck ran full throttle for a pretty long time until it got wedged under a fence. that is why i thought i may have to replace it again.

oh right,that dont sound to good then could be your engine just better off cheaking all the outher cheaper options before replacing again

what other options are you talking about? after the fence, i broke A LOT of peices and just finished putting it back together. everything is good to go all the wat down to the diffs.

i figured it out, i had the one-way in backwards. the engine was blowing air instead of sucking air. What a stupid mistake. thanks for your help. Brian
