Removal of annodized color on aluminum
Just FYI, in the new issue of RC Driver, an article documents that the liquid cleaner Greased Lightning will remove annodizing if the part is left to soak. In the article they do a cool custom flame design on an annodized chassis by using liquid masking then soaking in the Greased Lighning. I don't remember who it was, but someone on here asked the question about removing the annodized color not too long ago.

Well, the gallon bottle that is shown in the article doesn't look like automotive and in the lower right corner of the label I can read that it removes "grease" but it also specifies "mildew and mold," so I'm thinking its just the regular Greased Lightning cleaner like that which you linked to.

They don't mention anything about seals/rubber, but I think if it removes annodizing you should avoid contact with anything other than metal. However it didn't affect the LMF they were using, so maybe it would be okay. The pics they show of the chassis they did are really cool. They covered the entire chassis in LMF (they say they did 5 coats), then cut out a cool flame design. Soaked it in the cleaner, frequently checking to see when the annodizing would rub off. Then they washed the whole thing, spray painted the chassis, and removed the LMF. Very cool and unique look. You already have such a unique vehicle, consider doing a design on the chassis. If you do, please post pictures!

I took the anodizing off a t-maxx chassis awhile ago, the only thing I could get to take it off was EZ-off oven cleaner...... It actually turned out to be a bad idea, the metal left behind was very soft and looked horrible after a month. But that would not be a problem with this technique. I have an some old lst skid plates I might have to try this with......getting the paint to stick is going to be another problem, especially with skid plates.
