RE: Word on the 3.3
Consierring Traxxas Mods and employees are the only ones that currently have the 3.3, I think it a little pe-mature to be asking for reveiws....they'll all be biased, regardless ofthe engines performance....

That's what I'm talking about....FACTORY VIDEO.....they can afford to burn up a bushel basket full of 'em in lean runs.....just to get everyone to go out and buy it.

RE: Word on the 3.3
I can see it being good or even great in the Revo for racing but, why is Traxxas not doing what they should and drop in a big azz big block in the Maxx and Revo for us bashers? Bashers make up most of the market (Just my guess from what I see on the weekends). Just about everyone else HPI,Ofna and so on has gone with BB's?? A hot .21 is going to smoke the 3.3 in the power department and a .26-.30 well I don't even need to say! As with the 2.5 the 3.3 will more then likly kick on the track.

I dont believe all the hype about this engine. Their making it sound like its a revolutionary invention that has changed rc's.Traxxas just has to blow everything out of proportion.

RE: Word on the 3.3
I don't see it being more than 2hp, but it should be good. traxxas is just saying it's much better than the 2.5...not that it's better than a .28 or a .30 or anything...

RE: Word on the 3.3
They have to make it sound all big and mighty thats how they get there name out there $$$..they lean them motors out and run them hard, but that is its the top speed for the revo 3.3 so if you want it to last you prob shouldnt expect that.. more we talk about it here the bigger it makes it also....lol but i think the 2.5r is a great running motor and the 3.3 will be even better then that ... far as the rest of us go .. stock motor will never be big enough we want more POWER lol

RE: Word on the 3.3
I had the 2.5r in my Revo for all of a week before I upgraded to the RB .23. I am still not happy with the power (although it is a big big improvment) so I will be dropping in a .26-.28 this spring. Maybe if I can get my hands on a extended chassis I will add that as well.

RE: Word on the 3.3
Well I havnt heard a whole lot about the amount of power. But I dont know, I think it seems pretty awsome. I thinking about getting either another maxx or revo. I just want to see some more reviews from individual people that get them. I LOVE my tmaxx right now. But I want to see how the 3.3 sums up against more of the aftermarket engines.

RE: Word on the 3.3
after all the "bad feelings" on the 3.3 I am pleased to say I have a tmaxx 3.3 on the way, traded my aold 2.5 maxx and some cash for a 3.3 maxx NIB, though through the deal im keeping my stock and aftermarket wheels tires and bodies, the wheels tires and body are being removed prior to shipping the 3.3 but i would have taken them off anyway...its got a heck of alot of improvements over the 2.5maxx, and yeah i was skeptical bout the traxxas vids, but if you go back and watch closely there is smoke comming out nicely, it is blowing away twords the back of the truck making it hard to see, maybe a windy day but its comming oiut of the stinger, and in one shot on the dirt where theres a cloud of dust you can see a nice puff of blue smoke in there as well...I for one am not doubting the motor, never had a problem with my 2.5 and dont expect one with the new motor either, I see some ppl had pqroblems tuning the 2.5 but sometimes its the one turnoing the screws and not the motor that has a problem...one product i am doubting and completly off topic, RB superchargers, I would love to see one run against the stock truck in person, then Id know if it worked, until then they can keep there 180 dollar hunks of aluminum...

RE: Word on the 3.3
When I get it, hopefully by this coming weekend(woohoo) Ill let everyone know, and for the record I never had any big tunign issuse with the 2.5, maybe some of them had bu,m carbs when they first came out, the 3.3 uses the same carb so in my case im happy about that....

RE: Word on the 3.3
first off the report I saw was a broken con rod, and chances are it was a bum part from the manufacturer, this happens, sometimes a bad part slips through inspection, but like I said when I get mine I'll do a post, Im not doubting it on one opinion or bad part, who knows maybe someone got trigger happy during break in...so Im personally not goinna doubt it till I see it myself...

RE: Word on the 3.3
I like it from the looks, I have never had a problem with any of my Traxxas trucks, in fact, I have never run anything but Traxxas, the 3.3 will be a big improvement of the 2.5, mark my words.

RE: Word on the 3.3
My problem with the 2.5 was it didn't hold a tune. I would have it tuned perfect then on the next tank or gas it would overheat and stall. I would have to stop driving, let it cool down and retune.
