worst construction goof?
The first plane I ever put together was an ARF "Pizazz" I screwed up alot with this one.
1st I glue the ailerons on the wrong sides and upside down.
2nd I didn't seat the Horizontal stab correctly. It was visibly crooked.
That plane never flied right, but I absolutely loved it.

All in good fun....If you have been at this for years then you have both built in mistakes and mistakenly flown in......It's all part of the experience...

I bought my son a cessna 182 global kit, He put the stab and vertical together beautifully, however the fuselage sides he built exactly alike so I guess we could have made a profile 182.

These are fun to read - and remember - I think my SECOND pattern airplane...somehow ended up with a retract mounting block and cutout on TOP of one of the wings....guess when I discovered it??? :stupid:
(yep - AFTER gluing the halves together)

I "self taught" myself to apply Monocote too. Burned me, burned my chair and desk, warped the wing I was attempting to cover and threatened to burn the wife if she didn't stop laughing....

Pusher prob backwards
A few years back I built a Long Easy (40 size) and on its first day at the field it would barely taxi....back to the workbench to put a 60 in it......at the field it would barely taxi again.......someone suggested (hate those guys) "you got the prop on backwards"...we turned the prop around ant the plane took off like a rocket......
