The top of the adjusting screws you turn should be flush with the top of piece they go in. That should be close to stock settings .

i'm pretty sure the hsn is 4 turns from closed so close the neddle all the way not tight then open it 4 turns counter clockwise the lsn i think is 3 turns from closed but check the manual
