RE: savge hop up thread
Started out as a stock 25 RTR for my son on his birthday in November of 2004
It now has
Ported and polished S-25 motor.
Spiral cut I.D. in crankshaft. ( experiment )
Stock carburetor venturi enlarged to 8.1 mm.
THS #8025 pipe.
Motor saver airfilter.
New era fuel tank mod.
Mugen Seiki clutch shoes, springs and pilot nut.
Center skid.
Front swaybar.
Airtronics 94385 erg-vb High torque steering servo.
Dual disk brakes.
3 Speed transmission.
Fuel filter.
Hand made bumpers.
Hump pack with external charge jack.
4 Spider gear diff upgrade with 30,000 weight oil in the front and 20,000 in the rear.
Hpi heavy duty drive cups all around.
Hpi dirt bonz tires on hot bodies rims.
Adjustable upper arms.
I bought a Savage LTD for myself which I have already started to buy
the same parts as above except for the servo. I bought an JR z9000t.
Also LTD comes with three speed and dual disk brakes so no need to buy.
Anyway I'm sure I missed something and the money just keeps
flying out of my pocket faster than Ted Kennedy can drown a woman.
I should just have my paycheck direct deposited at the hobby shop!
I've done most of these mods to my sons savage because he races at
a local track here in NJ. I'm doing the same mods to my LTD because
I can't have an 11 year old punk ass kid beat me when Him and I
hit the construction sites. HA HA.

RE: savge hop up thread
Do you wnat to know our opinions on what are the best hopups, or do you want to know what all we have done to our trucks?
I'm happy with all of the mods I've done. At least a 1200mah hump pack and a stronger steering servo would be my suggestions for the first couple of additions to your Savage. Then use the factory steering servo in place of the factory throttle servo.
My goodies:
Savage 25 LE
-Came with three speed, dual discs, good air filter, 4 gear diffs, and good steering servo saver
-JR Z9000T digital steering servo/ Spektrum 590 throttle-brake servo
-Custom stock length LCG TVPs and custom engine plate
-Custom SS brake discs
-Venom hump pack
-Losi SKP tires mounted on Pro-Line 40 series Cheyennes with Pro-Line 23mm adapters
-Hot Bodies Mega Travel outboard CVDs
-HD cups throughout
-LRP Z.28R Spec 2 engine
-17/49 gearing
-Losi aluminum clutch shoes
-HPI wheelie bar
-HPI lightweight radio box cover
-.500" front/ .625" rear shock mod
-30w shock oil and full length black springs
-10k front/ 50k rear diff oil
-Spektrum DX3 system
........I know I'm forgetting some small stuff.......it's basically just your average RC money pit.
