Default Just won a 2nd hand Clodbuster on ebay...

Well, a Clodbuster with a Bullhead body, box and instructions, plus a Stadium Raider, Baja Champ (for spares or repair though) and some RC hotrod for £120, which seemed like a good deal to me, hopefully be able to get my money back if I sold it on to get something better at some later point... Here's the list of stuff from ebay:-

Tamiya 1/10 Clodbuster 4 wheel drive and 4 wheel steer monster truck - has Bullhead body fitted. Good working order and looks very impressive- couple of cracks to rear of body which have been repaired.
Tamiya 1/10 Stadium Raider Truck - TL01 chassis. In good order but motor needs refitting as I have not had time to align it properly - fitted with Acoms receiver and servos. Body in good nick - has been used but no major damage. Needs new tyres.
Acoms Techniplus 2 Channel Transmitter - Model AP-201 in very good working order.
R/C Hot Rod (see purple car in photo) - has custom battery pack and motor (no radio gear)
Tamiya Baja Champ - well used with TL01 chassis for spares or repair only.
Lotus Body and wheels with good tyres - fit Stadium Raider. Rear wing needs repainting but otherwise OK.
Spares - battery pack, TL01 G Parts (gears), Spares for Clodbuster, battery and bag of R/c bits and pieces.

He said he'd refit the motor on the stadium raider and it and the Clod have instructions... Do people reckon I got a good deal then? It all looks in good condition from the photo's and Clodbusters in comparable condition with no box or instructions seem to go for over £100 on ebay, so seemed good to me, be good to get a monster truck, stadium truck, buggy (albeit needing work) and on road car in one fell sweep - the full spectrum of RC 'cars', practically and I remember getting a Clodbuster t-shirt back in the early 90's, but never got the actual machine, so be good to finally get one, and some other Tamiya cars for the nostalgia if nothing else!

Yeah, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWN%3AIT&rd=1

What's the difference between a Clodbuster and a Super Clodbuster by the way?

I would have chosen the FG, as I said in the other post though, its a rock crawler, it's not going to be fast so dont be looking for speed and handling.

from what I can see, the hot rod is actually a mardave ministock, carpetracer
fiberglass sheet chasis
alu front/rear bumper plates
foam tires
no suspension
motor drives direct from pinion gear to a spur that is moulded to the back of the rear wheel, no gearbox.

These are pretty quick cars and very simple to work on.

The super clodbuster has a switch for speed or runtime. If I was you I'd switch the suspension arms and dogbones from the baja champ and put them on the stadium raider, as the extra length of them means better handling off road.

Hmmm, well my Clod has a power or economy switch, it's pretty much a re-release then? Does it use the improvements of the Bullhead? I'll look into switching that stuff then anyway.

Sounds like a fair description of the hot rod claccy tim. Glad you agree I got a good deal Evoman!
