O.S. .30 or Collari .32?
im getting a new motor for my b-day and im stuck between the O.S. .30 and Collari .32. the collari obviously has more power, but is it too much? ive heard of guys locking their 2nd gear in their 3 speeds to have a chance to keep their wheels on the ground. ive seen an O.S. .30 run up and down the parking lot twice and it looked fast enough for me. im switching to 30% fuel which means that the collari may be putting out almost, if not, 4 hp! thats a lot! i have the 3 speed, and hpi silver drivetrain all around- how will this hold up to the collari? also have the THS Racing pipe so i wont get the werks pipe for the collari.
my biggest concern with either motor is tune. its gotta hold a tune. then control, then power, then speed. if the collari is too crazy uncontrollably fast, i'll get the O.S.
P.S. i think im going to the LHS tomorrow so please reply soon!

Well, the collari onroad is very uncontrolably fast. On the dirt, it's awesome, I dont have any experince with the O.S so i wont comment on that. my bro's collari is so reliable, fast, and it hold it tune. The only prob was the owb slipping becaus of the exces oil. Werks has awesoem customer support, btw. They told him to put real car carb cleaner and a little after run oil on the the shaft and itll be fine. its been more that a gallon, he hasnt had to tune it or clean the OWB. Hes gonna buy it again even after it dies, lol. IMO, go for the Collari. Go italian, lol

Dang, this just ain't right! I get the X and am king of the bash pit for 2 weeks. Then Wizz gets a lil spending cash for his b-day,and will be spanking the X wid a monsta mota.[:@] I thought the 4.1 would be enough power for awhile (just got her broke in),now I'll have to wait for a .34 to come out.[>:]
Wadda ya say guys,we'll be making the trip to the LHS this evening? They have a OS .30, Collari .32, Axial .32, picco .27, and mach .28 (which he just pulled from his savy and dropped into his truggy). Which is the the easiest to "drop-in" and tune?
Oh, and leave me a little room for when I upgrade.

Don't get your panties in a wad, mosavage!
This is a forum, just looking for as many opinions as possible before dropping that kind of coin. You like the Collari, thank's for that advise.

I have a collari.
I have not been beaten in a flat out run yet.
with 5 pounds of rubber (jumbo kongs) it will still flip onto its lid whenever you want it to.
I can ride wheelies all the way through 3 gears up to near top speed 50 mph. Running a 47/16
if the front end is down at wot in 1st gear,on the 2nd gear change ,it will flip onto its lid.
At the 3rd shift it will pull the tires up,but not flip.
With regular tires You can roast all 4's in the grass/dirt at any time.
With pro line road rage tires (a little less sticky) on the road you can make all 4 tires get skinny from a dead stop..and watch the rubber dust fly!
You definately want the collari!!
The is no replacement for displacement!
I tune it accordingly..with any engine as the weather changes ,so does your tune.
I've had it so hot ,it has melted away my header pipe flange, with no damage to the engine what-so-ever.
If you have any ?'s PM me ,I'll help ya get it goin.
Only tip I can offer ya is ...Get a wheelie bar! You'll need it ,untill you can control the power.
I can't control mine still, but thats 1/2 the fun learning to drive again.
What fun is going wot under control?

Thanks, he's got the wheelie bar already, aluminum clutch shoes,4 gear diffs, and we have a large assortment of spurs and bells to try. Will it drop right in with his THS pipe? Roto backplate?

You can use the HPI rotostart case..change the gear inside to fit the Collari OWB,and it works.
The pipe I am unaware of...sorry.

Well RCCA did a dyno test of the LRP 28, and it is the tourqiest motor they have ever tested bar none, and this includes the OS 30, the Sirio 27 and the Nova 28, as well as a OS V-Spec ....the LRP also makes its power over an amazingly broad powerband. People who own both a LRP, Collari and OS will all tell ya the LRP flat out ripsm as well as its powerband is amazingly smooth....plus its dirt cheap...another version is the XTM 457

Hey every man for himself.... RCCA also dynoed the surefire 32 and the LRP makes more HP, tourque and RPM as well has a broader powerband....Has the collari 32 ever been dynoed ? Anyways I used to beat my buddies EB modded Sirio 27 with my 24/7 pro, he had more power, but my setup and tuning was alot better.
