Sprint 2 rear belt shredding
Hi everyone, I recently bought a HPI Sprint 2 and the rear belt has shredded down the middle (where I can see the thin nylon strands holding the belt together. I've taken apart the rear and couldn't pinpoint where the rubbing is coming from. I also couldn't find any rocks, etc that could be causing the problem. I've now replaced it with another belt and the same signs are coming up again with the rear belt.
Only thing I see visually weird is that in the middle of the rear diff, the teeth seems to be indented in like a slight V. I don't know if anyone else experience this?
Thanks in advance,
Jojo

RE: Sprint 2 rear belt shredding
if ur ever lookin for a new car stick with shaft driven its bout the only thing i can tell ya thats the reason i stay away from belt driven rcs the belts sit too clkose to the diff gears in my opinion the only advice i can give is to check n see if the belts r tight enough u should have minimum play when if u stick a finger under the belt and jiggle it if the belt aint tight enough and theres alot of play in it then it might be slipping off the gear just enough to wear down ur belt
