Monster trucks.. which one?
hi there.. im new to this forum. i currently own a pirate 10 monster and immediately fallen for all things with monster wheels. Im thingking of getting a big nirto monster truck, 1/8 scale. But there is so much to choose from models, brands etc. im more of a basher than racer(damn those non-jedi reflexes). All those savage, lst, revo, tmaxx etc owners.. pls give me ur views. im looking for sumthing that can withstand a good bashing, cause my pirate 10 is a wussy(still one hell of a truck) thanx guys..

for bashing, i have found the savage is about the best to take a beating. I have had a maxx, and a savy. The savy drive train and suspension is definelty built tougher than the maxx. Do not get me wrong, i liked my maxx better for what i did with it, but when i disassemble both for maitenance, i was impressed with the savy stock. Except for the long shocks that bend. I had to upgrade to TI parts to make my Maxx comparable.

If i was in your in chair i would have to go either with a lst 2 or a tmaxx. I have the tmaxx and am impressed with what you can put them through. I have put my tmaxx through so much and it has broke very little. I have ramped it off of 5 and 10ft ramps and it has survived. i have flipped it a ton of times and not a whole lot has broken on it. Now for the lst, I have never drivin one but i have seen plenty of them run and they look very nice. I have seen reviews of them and from what i have read there is nothing but good said about them. If I ever get another monster truck i would have to go for the lst 2. But thats me

CEN Genesis is great aswell, 3sp with reverse. Seen so much videos of these being bashed. Ive currently got the Nemesis 7.7 and its a monster, a good basher/racer.

The new T-Maxx 3.3 has addressed all the old tmaxx shortcomings. The new bulkheads are beefier (and of a better material). It has the revo tranny, revo style driveshafts and steering knuckles.......
As an owner of a revo, tmaxx, savage ss, and kyosho mad force (in my MT stable), for "bashing", I'd go with either the savage or the new maxx.

Do a search on the forum for Helfire. There are good and bad. The Helfire is not a MT. For bashing I would recommend the Savage.

The warhead ha had ALL kinds of issues. For bashing I would get a CEN Nemesis/genesis, Savage, or Revo. I'm not sure what the new 3.3 Tmaxx is like but I had a 2.5 and it handled like a shopping cart when it was stock.
